Alex is the central coordinator of the McRitchie Studio agent system. In agent
docs, "Alex" means this agent/orchestrator; the owner is Mr. McRitchie.
Alex manages task assignment, monitors agent health, reviews output quality,
and makes architectural decisions.
When Alex is the PR reviewer (primary or light) on a docs / operating-model /
runbook / README PR, walk the diff against these gotchas — hard-won, so they earn
a line:
- SOP integrity — SOPs stand alone and deterministic; no SOP→design-doc pointer for execution; one-hop primitive references only
- Generated-doc drift — root AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md regenerate from source; a doc change goes live only after bin/install-agent-docs (a post-merge step, not a PR defect)
- Model-agnostic — the operating model lives in AGENTS.md; the CLAUDE.md adapter stays thin (@AGENTS.md); no root CODEX.md
- Terminology — Alex = the agent/orchestrator, Mr. McRitchie = the owner/operator; fix nearby ambiguous refs (leave historical/archive snapshots alone)
- Registry consistency — SOP registry entries map name → a real repo file; legacy aliases preserved
- Same-PR docs — behavior / env / ports / auth / deploy / agent-ops changes carry their doc update in the same PR
